1969: Shutting Down SRI's Counterinsurgency Center on Hanover Street
On May 16, 1969, hundreds of April Third Movement demonstrators blockaded and eventually broke windows at SRI’s counterinsurgency center on Hanover Street in the Stanford Industrial park. Those were the days!
